Security Clearances and Background Checks

During his service in the Air Force, Chris held a Top Secret security clearance with special accesses. This gives Chris a personal familiarity with the process for applying for and renewing a security clearance. Both state and federal government agencies may require a security clearance or background check (also called a "fingerprint check") before allowing employment. Chris understands the "whole person" concept used by these agencies, and can provide help and guidance to anyone who is applying for a job requiring a security clearance or successful background check. Chris also can help to mitigate the negative effects of a prior criminal conviction, and can advise and represent currently cleared persons facing revocation of their clearance.
